Children’s Guardian Angel
Children’s Day Shelter volunteers work with the program Director, doing hand on activities with the children from homeless families using our cost free day care. Three or four hours in the morning or afternoon, once or several times a month; whichever works best in your schedule, will enable you to measure the success of your day in smiles and hugs with the knowledge that you have touched the heart of a child.
Our Office Angel volunteers help the staff with mailings, answering phones, and other general office duties. Help the office staff keep their sanity by volunteering for 3-4 hours, one day a month or more. We are very grateful for each hour you can give.
Back-Up Evening Volunteers
On rare occasions there may be a scheduling problem with the volunteers at our host churches and an extra set of hands is needed; maybe to help with supper or maybe to play a game with the children. If you could volunteer to be on-call to back-up our host congregation, let us know.
Occasional Meal Host
There are times when we need individuals or groups to provide a home cooked or store bought meal for the families in our program. If you are able to provide an occasional meal, please contact us!
Host Congregations & Supporters
We are always looking for congregations to be a part of helping our homeless families achieve self-sufficiency. If your church is interested, please contact our office. If your church is already listed below, that means they are already a host or support congregation. We would love to get you in touch with the volunteer coordinator at that church if you are interested in volunteering.
